Kurt McClanahan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 1, 2025, at the age of 60, Kurt McClanahan of Wichita, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kurt McClanahan to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his brother Mark McClanahan; and his father-in-law Larry Garrett Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Schar McClanahan (Garrett) of Wichita, Kansas; his son T'Zion Fears-Perez of Tennessee; his mother Karen McClanahan of Lincoln, Nebraska; his siblings, Cara Loken (John) of Denton, Nebraska, Ryan McClanahan (Shannon) and Jeni Wilkison (Darin) of Lincoln, Nebraska.; his mother-in-law LaRue Garrett; and his siblings-in-law, Markeyla Barry, Rev. Larry Garrett Jr. (Shirley) and Jamal Garrett Sr. (Angie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hope Baptist Church (2231 W McCormick St, Wichita, KS 67213).
