He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest R. Schleif and Edith L. Schleif; and his nephew David J. Schleif. He is survived by: his wife Kayla Surritt; his children, Matthew J. Schleif of Wamego, Nathan E. Schleif (Chelsea Dillon) of Belvue and Kristal K. Reamer (Phillip Steckman) of Wakefield; and his sisters, Linda Cowdin (Larry) of Manhattan and Mary Bennett of Belvue. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Piper Funeral Home (714 Maple St, St Marys, KS 66536). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (21491 Greenwood Rd, Belvue, KS 66407).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
