He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Paul and Lilly Satchell (Bickerstaff); his sons, Kevin Satchell and Damond Satchell; and his brothers, Roy Satchell and Eddie Satchell.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Satchell (Wilson); his son Todd Satchell (Kelly); his grandsons, Sean and Christopher of Parker, Kansas; his sister Becky Speicher of Russell, Kansas; and his stepbrother Lester Satchell of Russell, Kansas..
