Shirley Buek Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Buek of Burlingame, Kansas, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Shoemaker and Florence Shoemaker (Postma); her husband Gary M. Buek; and her brothers, William "Bill" Shoemaker and Robert "Bob" Shoemaker.

She is survived by: her children, Pam Sims (Jerry) of Canton, GA, Richard Buek of Topeka, KS, John Buek of Burlingame, KS, William Buek of Topeka, KS and Col. Brad Buek (Melissa) of Acworth, GA; and her sister-in-law Lucille Shoemaker of Auburn, KS. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home (503 S Topeka Ave, Burlingame, KS 66413). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Federated Church (322 S Topeka Ave, Burlingame, KS 66413).
