He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Berens and Rose Berens (Hazelhorst); and his sisters, Mary Lou Goetz and Gloriann Goodman. He is survived by: his wife Joan Ziegler; his children, Glenn Buchholz (Lori) of El Dorado, Kansas and Melissa Atwood (Max) of Littleton, Colorado; his grandchildren, Morgan Buchholz of Nashville, Brandon Atwood (Julianne) of Cedar Rapids and Gregory Atwood (Cali) of Gardner, Kansas; and his sisters, Darlene Stenzel of Overland Park, Joan Deges of Aurora and Karen Coons of Sebastian, Florida..
