It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Brooks (Columbus, Kansas), who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Gibson and Clara Johnson Gibson; her former life partner Lloyd Atkinson; her husband Bill Brooks; and her siblings, Ed Gibson, Mona Claire Price and Mildred Carter.
She is survived by : her sons, Neil Atkinson (Cari) of Juneau, AK, Bob Atkinson of Augusta, KS, Galen Atkinson (Sue) of Rosehill, KS, Alvin Atkinson (Kate) of Tulsa, OK and Randy Brooks (Kristi) of Joplin, MO; and her sisters, Ruth Hartley of Baxter Springs, KS and Helen Bohr of Independence, KS. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters.
