He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Riggs (Plaugher); his parents, Charlie Riggs and Viola Riggs; and his siblings, Ralph Riggs and Mary Jane Light.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janalee Seiwert (Greg) of Wichita, KS, Luann Dennis (JD) of Parma, ID and Christy Chitwood (Mike) of Colman, SD; and his brother Don Riggs. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
