It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James R. Kelly Sr. (Cottonwood Falls, Kansas), born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph H. Kelly and Charlotte "Lottie" M. Kelly (Gwin); his daughters, Kathleen Kelly (Dickerson) and Margaret A. Swartz; and his brother Don Kelly.

He is survived by : his children, Kimberly L. Kelly of Hutchinson and James R. "Jim" Kelly Jr. (Camille) of Strong City; his grandchildren, Kathleen "Nikki" Swearingin (Daniel), Daniel Elliott, Cody Kelly (Jessica), Cory Kelly (Cassidy), Chelsea Kelly and Wayne Arnold; and his sister Faith. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
