He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. D. and Rosa Windholz (Weigel); and his brothers, Hilary, Arthur and Otto Francis Windholz.
He is survived by: his wife Teddy (Steinert); his children, Art Windholz (Amy) of Wichita and Lisa Proctor (John) of Norman, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Adam Windholz, Zachary Windholz (Kelly), Caleb Windholz (Samantha), Kalee Hildreth (Anthony), Courtney Felts (Adam) and Jake Windholz. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
