She was predeceased by : her parents, Fayola Plankenton and Chester Plankenton; her husband Millard Christie; her siblings, Joyce and Walter; and her parents-in-law, Tom and Freeta Christie.

She is survived by : her children, Waynard of Lawrence, KS and Candice Milner (Christie) of Kansas City, KS.; and her grandsons, Corey Milner of Chicago, IL and Adrian Milner of Gardner, KS. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
