He was predeceased by : his parents, William Clell and Caroline Ada Killingsworth (Dyke); his wife Teresa L. "Terry" Cox; and his brother Dale Killingsworth. He is survived by : his daughters, Tina Killingsworth of Oklahoma, Penny Killingsworth of Florida, Carla King of Oklahoma, Rebecca Neukirch of Wichita and Lacey Ware (Ryan) of Dexter; and his siblings, Lydia Smith of Texas, Sue Pappan of Wichita, Faye Hansen (Warren) of Mulvane and Kent Killingsworth (Lyn) of Dexter.

A memorial has been established in Don's name for the Dexter School District Athletic Department. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
