He was predeceased by : his parents, Atanacio Lopez and Maria Carrasco; his sister Libia Telles; his niece Gloria Lopez; and his nephew Ramon Lopez.

He is survived by : his siblings, Antonio, Celia, Monica, Julian, Emilio, Ismael, Ernesto, Javier, Ramon and Fernando Lopez; and his children, Ismael Lopez, Libia, Rosa and Monica Lopez. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
