She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Messick and Dora Messick (Hughbanks); her husband Darrell Lee Shultz; and her brothers, Jack and Bud Messick.

She is survived by : her children, James (Valerie), Christi Thomson (Bruce) of Raymond, KS and Sheri Hoover (Ronnie) of El Dorado, KS; her sister Kay Fore (John); and her grandchildren, Tiffany Webb (Bobby), Tenelle Nuest (Brent), Shawnda Wood, Jeremy Wood (Sierra), Dane Wood (Brinna), Jacob Hoover (Lyndsey) and Jaci Wolfe (Ryan). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
