It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Sutton of Emporia, Kansas, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfonso A. Luna and Consuelo Luna (Torres). She is survived by : her daughter Melanie A. Sutton of Raymore, MO; her siblings, James Luna (Marsha) of Olathe, KS and Ruth Ann Luna of Overland Park, KS; and her grandchildren, Michael Jay and Mia Jewel.

A rosary was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (102 Exchange St, Emporia, KS 66801). Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
