He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wilhite and Barbara Jones Wilhite; and his sister Patty Bartel. He is survived by: his wife Diane Murphy; his brothers, Bob Wilhite (Diana) of Emporia and Bill Wilhite (Jeannie) of Wheaton, MO; his uncle Charles Wilhite of Emporia; his aunts, Hazel Wood of Shawnee, KS and Marie Bumgardner of Coffeyville; and his brother-in-law Dennis Bartel of Lebanon, MO. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many treasured friends.
