She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Thomas Gilbert and Zelma Gilbert (Workman); her husband Kenneth Kennedy; and her siblings, Verla Iverd Gilbert, Beulah Metcalfe, Evelyn Hudson, Juanita Schreiber, Paul and Clinton Gilbert. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

The memorial is with the American Heart Association.
