She was predeceased by : her parents, Larry Ray and Rayma Marie Vanderpool (Humble); and her sister Kathy Lynn Vanderpool. She is survived by : her former life partners, Lawrence Ray Gudde and Luis "Javier" Barraza-Cordóva; her husband Javi; her children, Josh Gudde (Megan Martin) of Eureka and Micaela (Joshua Jacquemin) of El Dorado; and her grandchildren, Joshua Henry and Kara Jane Marie Jacquemin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Karen's Grandchildren Educational Fund.
