It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Thornton of Eureka, Kansas, born in Garden City, Kansas, who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Cleo Everett and Royalyn Rosalie Lynes (Dale); and her siblings, Dale Lynes, Betty Suszko and Curtis Lynes.
She is survived by : her husband Jerry Allen Thornton; her children, Michael Thornton of El Dorado and Patty Dore of Hutchinson; and her grandchildren, Ammie (Andre Mboule) and Jaimee English. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Jefferson Street Baptist Church or to Caring Hands Humane Society.
