He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Meryl and Hazel Orrel Johnson (Houghton); his adoptive father Raymond Flummer; his daughter Pamela Kay Johnson; and his siblings, Olan Johnson, Shad Johnson, Roy Johnson and Nancy Jean Johnson.
He is survived by : his aunt Gladys; his wife Minnie Marie Knight; his children, Gerald (Leigh Johnson) of Newton and Jeleane (C. F. Cox) of Eureka; his grandchildren, Garrett Johnson of Newton, Lynnea (Obadia Tanui) of El Dorado and Aaron (Nichole Cox) of Andover; and his siblings, Marion (Joyce Johnson) of Neal, Mike Johnson of Andover, Peggy Johnson of Eureka and Patty (Ernie Chiles) of Jackson, Missouri..
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation.
