She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Emmett and Irma Joy VanMeter (Woodell); her husband Wayne Stringer; her siblings, Marian Carson, Shirley Powers and Wayne VanMeter; and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Stringer.
She is survived by: her children, James Wesley Stringer of Rogers, Rhonda Sue Allen (Jim) of Fort Scott and Randall Wayne Stringer (Valerie) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law Maude Burns of Iola, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Chris Stringer (AnnDee), Elizabeth Kinnaman (Ryan), Jennifer Barngrover (Dan), Matthew Stringer (Kelly), Hilary Randolph (Preston), Scott Allen and Marliss Allen. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
