It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L. Hathaway Jr. of Fort Scott, Kansas, born in Iola, Kansas, who passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Hathaway, Sr. and Helen Louise Hawkins; his brother-in-law Slim Valdivia; and his nephew Kenny Clampitt. He is survived by: his wife Patty Sue Gaston; his sons, William L. Hathaway III (Crystal) and Brandon E. Hathaway (Kim); his grandchildren, Torrie Singmaster (Dakota), Graham Hathaway, Nick Hathaway and Kaidden Hathaway; his great grandchildren, William and Tyson Singmaster; and his siblings, Bertha Valdivia of Topeka and David Hathaway (Brenda) of Fulton. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
