He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Simmons and Grace Simmons (Lovely); and his siblings, James Simmons (J. R.), Donald Simmons, Doris Evenson and Joyce Simmons.
He is survived by : his former life partner Mary E. Simmons; his children, Dala Loomer (Doug) and Gayla Creek (Phillip); and his grandchildren, Emily Loomer, Logan Loomer and Jaidyn Creek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
