She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Samuel and Mary Ellen Fender (Purcival); her husband Deon Puckett August; her daughter Patricia Toalson; and her siblings, Imogene Peterson, Bill Fender and Bob Fender.
She is survived by : her children, Roy Gum of Derby, Ron Gum of Topeka, Mary Williams (Kerry) of Emporia and Deb Leon of Emporia; and her sister Judy DeVine of Freedom. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
