It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alvin Canady Jr. of Galena, Kansas, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Joann Cusick; his sons, Jamie, Brian and Dwight; his mother Viola Shere (Carver); and his siblings, Max, Linda Savage and Carol Pierce.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, James Canady of Galena, Jason Canady of Galena and Kyndra McGuirk of Galena; his sister Juanita Phillips (Marion) of Ft Scott, KS; his half-brother Jeff Shere (Mindy); and his stepbrothers, Bill Shere of Galena and Butch Shere of Galena. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
He had participated in trail ride fund raisers for the Kidney Foundation.
