He was predeceased by: his parents, Vola Maxine Livengood and Earl Proffitt. He is survived by: his children, Cole Proffitt (Shiraya) of Tulsa, Jason Proffitt (Jessi) of Phoenix and Brooke Garvey of Lakin; his siblings, Vicki Proffitt of Garden City, Karen James, Ron (Syndi Proffitt), Don (Diana Proffitt) and Sandy Proffitt of Dodge City, Kansas.; and his granddaughter Lucca Marie Proffitt of Phoenix.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Emmaus House in Garden City, which played a critical role during a season of Stu's life.
