He is survived by: his wife Mai Kim Tat; his children, Si Nguyen of Garden City, Tan Nguyen of Garden City, Phillip Nguyen of Houston, Hai Nguyen of Wichita and Kim Dona Highfill of Wichita; his grandchildren, Thao Nguyen of Vietnam, Lydia Nguyen of Wichita, Kennedy Nguyen of Wichita, Haisley Nguyen of Wichita and Nora Highfill of Wichita; and his brother Xe Van Mai of Vietnam.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). The military honors will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Southwest Kansas Veterans Honor Guard and Cremation Service.
