He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Bridges (Bill), Neil Koster (Donna) and Marcia Koster Carter (Bob); his wife Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Smith; his sons, Greg Koster (Lili) and Chad Koster (Nanci); his grandchildren, Blake Koster (Sadie) of Kearney, NE, Bradley Koster (Delaney) of Garden City, KS, Brittani Johnson (Troy) of Nashville, TN, Jared Koster (Mollianne) of Garden City, KS and Lauren Lynn (Christian) of Garden City, KS.; and his great grandchildren, Demi, Cooper, Camden, Kyler, Brooks and Duncan.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Garden City-First United Methodist Church (1106 N Main St, Garden City, KS 67846).
Memorials may be made to Western Kansas Community Foundation (WKCF) for a Kansas State University student scholarship, or to Heartland Cancer Center of Garden City, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, Kansas 67846.
