He was predeceased by: his parents, Woolsie Lewis and Mary Lewis (Weldon); his son Randy Lewis; and his brother William Lane Lewis. He is survived by: his friend Ed Hooper; his wife Nelda Lewis; his children, Sonia (Ole Anderson) of Sheridan, Bob Lewis of Garden City and Doug (Michelle Lewis) of New Braunfels, Texas; and his grandchildren, Ben (Jami Anderson) of Davidson, Chuck (Kristin Anderson) of Cheyenne, Chelsey (Javier Rangel) of Denver, Adam Lewis of Austin, Noah Lewis of Austin and Hannah Lewis of New Braunfels, Texas. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials given to the First United Methodist Church, the Garden City Family YMCA, or the Alzheimer's Association, all in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
