She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Leiker and Margaret Leiker (Braun); her husband Philip C. "Phil" Smith; her son-in-law Bob Plutt; her brother Otto Leiker; and her grandson Corey Hutchens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Plutt of Garden City, Marilyn (Al Hutchens) of Aztec and Stephanie (Paul Bogner) of Garden City, Kansas; her brothers, Art Leiker of Garden City and Jim Leiker of Lafeyette, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Stacy (Andy McLean), Robert (Katie Plutt), Brie Hutchens, Kimberly (Ryan Harp) and Jeffery Bogner; and her great grandchildren, Maxx Plutt, Emma Hutchens and Avery Hutchens.
