It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerry A. Roark (Garden City, Kansas), who passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Kernion and Helen Kernion (Ellis); her husband Johnnie R. Roark; her son Robin W. Hart; and her brother Geraldo Kernion.
She is survived by: her children, Randall Hart of Mena and Gwen (Wayne Goss) of Garden City, Kansas; her grandchildren, Johnathan (Nicole Hart), Andrew (Mia Hart), Chelsea Hart, Chase Hart, Tara Hart, Mason Hart, Daxton Hart, Brandon (Vanessa Goss), Melanie (Andrew Jesse), Ryan (Sheena Goss) and Russell Goss; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Dexter, Blythe, Hudson, Emersyn, Briar and Madelyn; her stepchildren, Steven (Elizabeth Roark) of Peyton and Tami (Larry Crooks) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her stepgrandchildren, Matthew Roark, Michelle (Brooks Crane) and Sara (John Ripsam); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Emelia, Audrey, Preston, Ariana, Cadence, Camden, Ava, Addison, Max and McKenzie; and her siblings, John Kernion of Chapel Hill, Carlos (Pilar Kernion) of Mexico City, Mexico and Laura Jean McWhorter of Fayetteville.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Garden City-First United Methodist Church (1106 N Main St, Garden City, KS 67846).
