It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard James Braun in Garden City, Kansas, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Braun and Elizabeth Braun; his stepmother Vivian Braun; and his grandson Mitchell Braun. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Braun; his children, Beverly (Milton Riggs) of Garden City, Wanda (Brad Sloan) of Garden City, Michael (Toni Braun) of Garden City and Susan Braun of Blue Springs, Missouri; his brother Richard Braun of Deerfield, Kansas; his stepsiblings, Diane Higdon of Yucaipa, California and Paul Scheumack of Rancho Cucamonga, California; his grandchildren, Martin (Emma Riggs), Emily Braun, Megan (Ryan Suderman), Clayton Braun and Drake (Marissa Holmes); and his great grandchild Ellie Suderman.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (615 J C St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
