The passing of Luis Gonzales of Garden City, Kansas, born in Holly, Colorado leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 19, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Gonzales and Geronima Pichardo (Enriquez); and his siblings, Irene Fernandez, Victoria Pacheco, Amanda Pichardo, Jesus Cervantez (Jesse), Lawrence Cervantes, Raymond Cervantes, Martin Enriquez and Victor Pichardo.
He is survived by: his wife Ricarda Gonzales; his children, Marcus Gonzales and Yolanda Cox (Greg); and his brothers, Raymond Pichardo and Leonard Pichardo. He is also survived by nine grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A rosary will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (509 St John St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be given to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, Ks 67846.
