He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Verne, Caroline Markel and Richard Witman. He is survived by: his parents, Donald Markel and Pamela Markel (Witman) of Ingalls, Kansas; his sons, Brett Markel and Bryce Markel; his sisters, Heather (Matthew Rook) of Salina, Sharon (Jerry Quint) of Hiawatha and Danielle (Christ Sharpe) of Erie, Colorado; and his grandmother Mary Jeanette Witman of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Gray County Recreation Center (801 W Ave A, Cimarron, KS 67835).
