She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Perez and Jessie Perez (Lopez); her husband Jesse R. Avila; her daughters, Dorothy Salais and Jessie Esch; and her siblings, Valentine Perez, Tony Perez, John Perez, Nellie Bribiesca and Teresa Perez.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Liz" Torres of Garden City, Jesse "Doug" Avila of Douglas, Mark Avila of Lawrence, Mona Kaps of Garden City, Rosina Houle of Stillwater and Lynette Brungardt of Garden City, Kansas; and her siblings, Delilah Vincent of Lakin, Ruby Escalada of Wichita, Lupe Longoria of Lakin and Richard Perez of Kendall, Kansas. She is also survived by 19 Grandchildren; 33 Great-Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (510 N 12th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
