He was predeceased by: his parents, Esteban Salinas and Josephine Salinas (Robles). He is survived by: his siblings, Gerry Salinas, Fred Salinas, Steve Salinas and Pat Martinez; and his nieces and nephews, Natalie Martinez, Justine Martinez, Gianna Rodriguez, Camila Salinas, Abigail Salinas, Katie Salinas, Austin Salinas, Blake Salinas, Garrett Rodriguez, Steven Salinas III, Julian Salinas, Mason Salinas, Brandon Lopez and Jasper Salinas. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or American Heart Association In honor of Robert J. Salinas.
