He was predeceased by: his father Bill Gene; and his siblings, Todd, Denice and Patrick. He is survived by: his mother Ruth A. Phoenix (Messerly) of Olathe; his close friend Dianne Boyer; his daughter Tasha Phoenix Sabata of Plainview, Texas; and his siblings, Shannon Phoenix of De Soto and Tonya Thayer of Olathe. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
