He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendel Schulte and Hazel Schulte (Centlivre); his son Danny Schulte; and his siblings, Melvin, Jerry Schulte and Myrna Boyles.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Barr; his children, Kim Schulte (Ken Flaspohler) of Overland Park, Scott Schulte of Garnett and Carla Walter (Ryan) of Garnett, Kansas; his grandchildren, Spencer Walter, Sammy Walter, Alexis Schulte, Nicholas Schulte, Jennifer Flaspohler Hill (Mike), Allie Flaspohler Frederes (A. J.), Stephen Flaspohler and Brandon Flaspohler; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Evelyn Hill; and his sister Dixie Brummel of Garnett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Garnett Country Club and left in care of the funeral home.
