He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Harvey Sr. and Lois Johnston Kern; his wife Susan Lyn VerSteegh; his sister Amy Kern; and his great grandchild Colt Kern.
He is survived by : his son Corey Kern (Brenda) of Geneseo; his grandsons, Jesse Kern of Great Bend, KS and Brandon Kern (Santana); and his great grandchild Wyatt Kern.
