He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thompson and Dorothy Allen Thompson. He is survived by: his spouse Nelva Gayle Trapp; his children, Michael Thompson (Theresa) of Scott City, KS, Kathy Torres (Christopher) of McPherson, KS and Linda Stephenson (Dan) of Little River, KS; and his sister Beth Case (Ed) of Little River, KS. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Little River in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
