Betty Lou Skillett Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Skillett of Hays, Kansas, who passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Oborny and Elizabeth S. Oborny (Hladik); her husband Donald G. Skillett; her grandson Tyler Wade Skillett; and her siblings, John Oborny, Charles Oborny, Leonard Oborny, Larry Oborny, Louis Oborny, Mary Ann Nather and Agnes Pechanec.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Skillett (Linda) of Tryon, NC, Karen Skillett of Hays, KS and Karla Ferdig (Leonard) of Beverly Hills, FL; and her stepdaughters, Susan Davis (Bruce) of McCracken, KS and Cheryl Skillett-Christenson (Chris) of Lewistown, MT. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; and her nine step-grandchildren; her four step-great grandchildren; and one step-great great grandchild.
