Lois Wethington Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Wethington of Haysville, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lois Wethington to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Edward DeYoung and Lela DeYoung (Erickson); her brother Lyle DeYoung; and her husband Robert Wethington. She is survived by: her sisters, Phyllis Mapes of Bonner Springs and Delores Erickson (Keith) of Prairie View; her sons, David Wethington of Haysville and Daniel Wethington (Kristin) of Edmond; her granddaughters, Lauren Clausing (Daniel) of Overland Park, Lindsey Shepardson (Andrew) of Wichita and Leah Sherwood (Chandler) of Olathe; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Sam Clausing and Calvin Shepardson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Genesis Evangelical Free Church (2611 E Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 67211).
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Genesis Evangelical Free Church can be made in her name.
