She was predeceased by : her parents, Adolpho Gonzales and Julia Gonzales; her husband Robert Potocnik; her children, Julie Potocnik, Robert Potocnik, Jr. and Cynthia Byrd; and her siblings, Delfina Nobles, Virginia Rezcznski and Carmen Gonzales, Sr..

She is survived by : her children, Troy Heitfield (Robyn), Paul Potocnik of Lost Springs and Becky Smith of Alliance, NE; and her siblings, Kenny Gonzales of Chicago, Nick Gonzales of Herington, Connie Alvarez of Lost Springs, Margaret Roediger of Herington, Mary Klenda of Hillsboro and Celia LaPlante of Hillsboro.

Memorial contributions in Janie's name may be directed to Legacy at Herington Activity Fund in care of the funeral home.
