She was predeceased by: her parents, James Helfer and Doris Marcum Helfer; and her brother Danny. She is survived by: her husband David L. Burkett; her children, Cheryl Brandewiede (James) of Hesston, Richard Burkett (Esperanza) of Newton, Kevin Burkett (Theresa) of Burrton, Sarah Hoss (Andrew) of Wichita and Daniel Burkett (Kristy) of Newton; her sister Vicki Hoffer; and her daughter Shannon of Marion. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
