We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to James Martin Gibbs of Hiawatha, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Gibbs and Mabel Gibbs (Andrews). He is survived by: his wife Marylan Kleppe of Hiawatha; his daughters, Debbie Dwerlkotte (Jay) of Beattie, KS, Pam Sanders (LaVerne) of Hiawatha and Michelle VanDalsem (Scott) of Goodyear, AZ; his grandchildren, Ryan Sanders (Channing), Valerie Sanders and Whitney Sanders; his great grandchild Callahan Sanders; and his sister Janice Schuetz (Gary) of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eternal Life First Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to HOPE Brown County or the charity of the donor's choice and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S. 7th St, Hiawatha, KS 66434.
