It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence E. Thonen of Hiawatha, Kansas, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacob Thonen and Rosa Wenger Thonen; and his siblings, Edna Thonen, Norman, Melvin and Alvin.

He is survived by : his wife Donna Corbet; his daughters, Sherry Ely (Alan) and Sandy Bowen (Bob); his grandson Tyler Thieme; his sister Mavis Geiger; and his sisters-in-law, Edna Mae Futscher and Vinita Thonen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
