It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elvira Plett of Hillsboro, Kansas, born in Marion, South Dakota, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Kroeker and Helen Kroeker (Epp); her grandson Seth David Rust; and her siblings, Abram, Alvin, Werner, Mary, Hilda, Martha and Helma.
She is survived by: her husband Dave Plett of Newton; her daughters, Cindy Vix of Olathe, Norine Plett of Newton, Bev Plett of Hillsboro and Brenda Rust (Paul) of Elbing; her grandchildren, Karie, Kristen, Brandon Vix, Janelle Goodrich (Zach), Cameron, Clayton, Devin Rust, Brylee, Jace and Lakyn Goodrich; and her brother Orlando Kroeker (Rosita) of Lenexa. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her last two months were spent in a private long-term care facility for dementia and Alzheimer's patients in Newton, KS.
