It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Lee Nickel (Hillsboro, Kansas), born in Goessel, Kansas, who passed away on March 6, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Nickel and Olga Nickel (Ratzloff); his wife Charlotte Nickel of Lincolnville; his children, Kerry Nickel of Minneapolis, KS, Kacey Nickel (Karen) of Tampa, Don King (Ruth) of Toronto, KS, Elmer King (James Hamel) of Texas, Wilfred King (Diana) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Kim Poague (Dave) of Salina and Darlene Hubbard (Greg) of Lincolnville; and his siblings, Wesley Nickel, Leo Nickel, Lila Coop (Roger), Johnnie Nickel and Willis Nickel. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
