With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Leo Demel (Hoisington, Kansas), born in Claflin, Kansas, who passed away on November 28, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Demel and Mary Demel (Klug); his brothers-in-law, Kenny Schremmer and Ernest Stoppel; and his nephew Lantz Walters.

He is survived by : his daughter Melissa R. Demel; his wife Pat (Stoppel); his siblings, Delores Rosenberg (Jim) of Simsbury, Conn., Rosemary Schremmer of Hoisington, Robert Demel (Rosemary) of Hoisington, Tom Demel (Darlene) of Hoisington, Marvin Demel (Phyllis) of Kanopolis, Allen Demel (Margaret) of Elk City and Mark Demel (Barbara) of Hoisington; and his brother-in-law LeRoy Stoppel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Ray has donated his body to the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
