With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gaylen R. Bohnenkemper (Holton, Kansas), who passed away on September 18, 2018 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harlan and Faydrel "Faye" Bohnenkemper (Bontrager); his son David Bohnenkemper; and his sister Betty Beam. He is survived by: his spouse Christina "Tina" Knutsen; his sons, Darin Bohnenkemper (Jennifer) and Derrick Bohnenkemper; his siblings, Beverly Baxter (Jim) of Holton and Gary Bohnenkemper (Linda) of Holton; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Racheal, Sidney, Jarred, Joel Bohnenkemper, Jack Rodgers (Shontae), Joseph Kathrens, Bud Kathrens, Sarah Grafton and Samantha Grafton; and his great grandchildren, Rose Rodgers and Caleb Rodgers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gaylen Bohnenkemper Memorial Fund to be designated to a MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS foundation c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
