With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Baxter of Holton, Kansas, born in Corning, Kansas, who passed away on September 9, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred J. Baxter and Lena L. Baxter (Hittle); his daughter Heather Baxter; his brother Herb Baxter; and his brother-in-law Dan McGinnis.

He is survived by : his wife Beverly Ann Bohnenkemper; his children, Christianna Hartman (Thad) of Topeka, KS and James "Michael" Baxter; his grandchildren, Claire Hartman (Mitchell) and Max Hartman; his sister Barb McGinnis of Topeka, KS; and his sister-in-law Linda Baxter of Onaga, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
